This voice over thing is just about THE most frustrating and useless piece of crap I've ever experienced. OMG! I have turned it on not knowing what it does and now it won't even allow me to scroll down the screen in 'settings/general' to get to it so I can turn it off. I can't even type on it.... I am about ready to freak.... sorry, but i'm just very frustrated. can anyone help me???

First, the way you control the device changes with VoieOver is turned on. To go from screen to screen, you need to swipe left or right with two fingers, not one. Once you are on a list of things, like the settings menu, single finger swipes up and down or left and right will let you navigate. Or you can just tap on the item you want, then when the box is around it, double tap anywhere to open or activate it.

However, if you just want to turn it off, connect your ipod to your computer. Go to the summary screen for the ipod and click the "Configure Universal Access" button. You should see three checkboxes and all the boxes should be unchecked. Uncheck them, then apply then sync. With that done, you should be good to go.

The voiceover feature is intended for use by folks who are visually impaired.
