Are the existing jam packs compatible with OS Lion for use with GarageBand '11 and Logic 8 and 9? Has anybody had an answer from an official Apple source concerning the future of the Jam Packs? For the moment, they seem to be unavailable for purchase.

They still work with Lion. Just a few days ago I installed a few jam packs on my MBP 2011.
The problem is: once they're installed, they work fine, but you run into problems when you want to install them from scratch since the installer is a PowerPC program.
What about transfering the files from an installed disk? I have transferred files from the Library Application supportor files... What else do I need to do?
If it's about the loops: Just drop the folder onto GB's loop browser, and they will be indexed. The instrument files have to be put into the appropriate folders in the Instrument Library, which can be a pain.
