I have a Sandisk 4GB SD card and nothing happens when I plug it into the MBP. What's wrong?

I have the same problem getting my Sandisk to mount using LION.

After trying many times and searching the discussions I finally found a solution by accident.

I clicked on my HD icon and there it was with all my other stuff on the desktop.

I am able to access files from it and back-up files as well.
