Which AppleWorks version works on OSX 10.5.8 using a Power Mac G5? I trashed the application while trying to fix a "could not be launched because of a shared library error." Now I need to reinstall but can't find the correct version. Thank you.
In OS X you want AppleWorks 6.2.4 or later. Fixing the Shared Library Error does not necessarily require reinstalling AppleWorks.
AppleWorks is not available for legal download anywhere, you have to buy it. You could try eBay and do a search for "AppleWorks" or "Apple Works" (some people put a "space" in the name). Hardcore Mac sells AppleWorks 6.2.4.
Once you have installed AppleWorks, the update to AppleWorks 6.2.9 is still available on Apple's site.
