Export the Photos from iPhoto to the FInder. Using the File -> Export command you can write this metadata to the file. Airdrop to the other machine. Import them to the other Library.

Hi Jakie, I did it using Air Drop it is part of OSX 10.8 or latter. What I did was open a finder folder on both the Mac's and on the side pannel clicked "Air Drop" till both can be seen by the other.
Once you can see the other Mac just click on the photos you want to move and drag them to the other Mac. all the meta data should transfer as well. When you open the photos on the other Mac all the info should be there.

Didge, if you drag the photos directly from iPhoto to Airdrop, you will only transfer a preview version in lower quality. To transfer the photo in the best quality possible, use the export as TD described and AirDrop the exported photos.
