iMac HD filling up under "other"

Hello,

I have an early 2008 20" 2.66 Ghz iMac with a 750GB HD and I am running Lion 10.7.1. The other day my Mac notified me that my HD is nearly fully. When I examined the storage I noted about 270 GB between the audio/movies/photos/apps. The "other" section reads 407 GB and shows only about 69 GB free. I don't have alot of software on the iMac and wordering what is causing this? Most of the storage (219 GB) is used by movies that I have burnt to the iMac. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

imac, Mac OS X (10.7)

Try downloading OmniDisksweeper it will give you information on how large files are on your hard drive and you can take a look at what those other files are.
