Red Alert 3 keyboard problems
Before I begin, I realise that Red Alert 3 isn't supported by Apple. But is seems EA doesn't even support their own game's Mac version, despite the fact that they have released it. I contacted EA's support team, and not only were they unable to help me, they didn't even understand what I was talking about. (I made the mistake of trying to be helpful by letting them know that other Cider-emulated games, including those from EA, worked fine. This made them accuse me of pirating the game and went on for quite a long time; it wasn't until after I explained to them what Cider and Wine were and gave them links that they bothered to try and 'help' me.)

Anyways, for some reason Red Alert 3 does not recognise my keyboard. I have tried both the built-in keyboard as well as an external (PC) USB one. Most of the keys, when trying to map hotkeys, register as blanks (with no hotkey registered); some cannot be remapped; the few which do work are very odd (the 'j' key is 'Media Stop', another one is 'Calculator', et cetera).
I've also noticed that, based on the default hotkey file, many of the hotkeys which are supposed to be assigned are mapped to blanks, as above (namely those whose keys don't work).
I've run many other games which use Cider and haven't ever encountered this problem.
My system is currently set in French with a British keyboard. I have tried changing the language to English and using multiple types of other keyboards, including the american one, to no avail. RA3 just doesn't recognise something for some reason.
Edit:
I forgot to add two things. The first is that the game itself works fine aside from this problem. Secondly, and more importantly, when creating a profile, the keys all seem to work and I am able to use keys which either register as blanks or cannot be remapped perfeclty fine to type in a name.
Any help would be appriciated.
