Transferring in-app purchase from iPhone to iPad

I purchased the Celsius app on my iPhone, and I also bought the extensions by an in-app purchase.


I can transfer the app to my iPad, but not the in-app purchase.


On the Apple support pages, I read that it is possible to transfer a non-replanishable in-app purchase ( http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4009 ).


However, the in-app purchase doesn't appear on my iPad and it looks like I have to pay again for the in-app purchase.


Maybe this is because the iPad is registered on my wife's name?

what might work is this:


  1. place your iPad in recovery mode
  2. restore it from the backup of your iPhone


all the current content on the iPad would be lost, and replaced by what's on the last backup of your iPhone.

When you click on "purchase" option on your iPad it will ask you to sign into iTunes. When you click purchase it says "you have already purchased this. Press OK to download again" or something like that. Mine would not transfer in-app purchases but I did this with all of them on iPad and they work fine now.
