Zoom/screenshot

Before the Lion upgrade I was able to zoom in (CTRL + mouse wheel) on the deskop and take a screenshot which would capture only what was showing on my screen. Now, I am zooming and taking the screenshot but getting the full view and not the zoomed in part. Any idea on how to get this back or if there's a setting that would allow me to do this? Sorry if this has been asked before! I appreciate your help!

Do you mean that the screenshot that you took is of the actal Desktop itself zoomed? I Didn't think that could be done.

If you mean that what was zoomed is in an application window (eg., a web page in Safari or an image in Preview or Photoshop), you can do CMND-+ to zoom, then capture the part of the zoomed image by doing CMND-SHIFT-4 and moving the (changed) pointer to select the part to be captured. It will appear on your Desktop.
