My movies are taking over my iPad 2 hard drive.  I purchased movies on my iPad 2 and would like to move them to my macbook for storage.

You should be transferring anything purchased on your ipad to your copmputer anyway.

    What is your question?

Transfer all of your purchases to your computer regularly.  File>Transfer Purchases

Plug in the iPad and sync to iTunes.

The movies will be copied back to the computer.

Then selct the iPad in iTunes and select the Movies tab at top and uncheck the movies to remove them from the iPad.

    iTunes.

The iPad does not have a hard drive.

If you have Sync Movies selected under the Movies tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes, movies purchased from the iTunes store direct with your iPad would be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync your iPad with iTunes after doing so.

If you want to remove a movie from your iPad without deleting the movie, deselect the movie under the Movies tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync. To add/remove movies, select/deselect the movies under the Movies tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.

If Sync Movies is not selected under the Movies tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes, with your iPad connected at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPad. After confirming all movies on your iPad are now in your iTunes library, select Sync Movies under the Movies tab. Deselect the movies below that you want removed from your iPad followed by a sync.
