How can I determine the WPA key so I can connect my blu-ray player to my airport network?

I am attempting to connect my TV to my airport extreme network, and am being asked for a wpa key. No explanation is found of just what that is. Please help.

Thanks,

Fred

WPA key is a loose term that could mean your wireless network "password", or it may be the actual "key" for your wireless network...a long, complex code consisting of letters and numbers.

I'm sure that you know your wireless network "password".

To find out more about your "key".....

Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility

Click Manual Setup

Shift the focus of your eyes away from the window in the center of the screen and move them to the very top edge of your computer screen to the menu bar.

Locate the Base Station menu, then click Equivalent Network Password

Your "key" will be revealed to you. That may be the info the that the TV needs, but no guarantees, of course.

Those are the instructions I followed, but the "show passwords" command is grayed out and not clickable, even when I select the AirPort Extreme (the other options are black). And yes, I tried the wifi password already as well as all the numbers I found in the keychain (with little understanding of what they were). The only number I have not tried is the wifi

I'll try that.
