Q: App Store's blank page - final solution

I googled the APSDeamon and found it is needed for the "push" service - but WHAT is pushed to WHOM here?

However - on my installation it did NOT run - although it was in the HKLM...Run. Suppose it only fires off when a certain (iCould?) syncing thing is used. However - it's the first time I saw it.

BTW, I'm using "Startup Manager v1.5.2.25 for over ten(!!) years - on any Windows from 95 to Windows 7.

Does a good job, and it much easier to use than MSCONFIG. Google it, andg give it a try. It's always on top of my START menu, and next is Sysinternals ProcessExplorer.

I ran the fix described above around NetNanny which I had recently started using. iTunes Store now working again. Thanks TeamFrustratedAppleUsers!!! On to the next issue...

That would be to get the Apple iTunes developers to implement their network hooks properly so they don't break the chain of LSPs already installed.

Am I the only one that DOES NOT have 1.5.2? I only have 2.0.1 or 2.1.5?

Please let me know if this fix will work on  4S....

Also, can I download 1.5.2?

Nevermind... mine was fixed but updating all my apps before trying to backup.

i've lost my previous itunes 10.4.

so where could i find it ?

Google for "oldversions.com" (or similar) - they collect almost all versions of various kinds.

I have been through the entire process multiple times.  Uninstalling, installing, netsh winsock reset, going back to installer cache 1.5.2, and finally I reverted back to 10.4.1.  Now it reads that it cannot read my library because it is part of a later version of ITunes.

Anybody have a fix for this? 

I have spent over a week reading thru the forums and trying every little "fix".  I can't say that I will buy Apple products in the future based on this experience alone...

Find the location where ITunes Library.itl and .xml are stored.

Edit iTunes library.itl in an editor.

Overwrite the 2nd and 3rd character with some others.

Save the file.

Open iTunes. It will recreate the library from the XML file.

Drawback: all songs will appear to be added on the current date afterwards.

@pheb62: Your fix does not work for Win 7 64bit.

This is absolutey insane!  I've always trusted Apple and trusted their products with no issues.  I've spent the last two weeks roaming these discussions and have tried every suggestions multiple times with the same results.  All Apple does is send me emails with links to these discussions with the same non-helpful suggestions.  I see some of these are working for some, but not all.

I wonder at what point they will push a patch to fix this, because they are definitely not making money from me/us that can't connect.  Thinking about contacting some music artist to let them know I can't purchase their music due to Apple's refusal to help us.  I shouldn't have to tinker with my 2 week old laptop for this issue Apple!

Well, it's not "my" fix - I could only try it on Win7 32-bit. Anyway, thanks for the info.
