MBP Sudden Shutdown again (still)

Hi All,

Been struggling to keep my MBP (first model A1150) alive, as I cannlt afford anything else at the momemt.

I've posted about it here before, but the short version is: sudden shutdown. The fan(s) will suddenly rev up to about 5700 and the machine will 'click' off. Even when it's pretty cool. I doubt that it's really overheating.

So I've been wondering, and I am just looking for some feedback here. Since it's probably related to the heatsink, fan, thermal sensor or a combo: what if I just pull the left heat sensor out, and put up with the constant spinning of the fans? I'm always working on it in a noisy environment as it is. Could that do any harm? Either way, overheating wouldn't be a problem, would it?

What do you guys think? Any ideas much appreciated!

Cheers,

Pascal
