The only way to Disable a stolen iPad is if Find My iPad was turned on and the iPad has a conenction to WIFI...

Contact your local police and provide them with the serial number... I know it may sound funny to do but if the iPad is returned, that is the first place it will go.

Get your Serial in iTunes by going

MAC = iTunes Menu -> Preferences -> Hover your mouse over the name of your iPad to reveal S/N

Windows = Edit -> Preferences -> Devices -> Hover your mouse over the name of your iPad to reveal S/N

You can only do this with a computer you synced your iPad with in the past.

Good idea to provide them with Serial Number so they know to call you.
