My iPhone 4 has startd asking for my apple ID and password when starting (up or from sleep). Hitting cancel removes it but I would like it permanently disabled. Can someone advise?

Settings>Store only shows Automtic Downloads set to On for my Music, Apps and Cellular and my apple ID filled. I have now also noticed the prompt occurs randomly.
You should turn automatic downloads off or both Music & Apps...then tap the ID shown...sign out...then sign back in.

I would. Otherwise you may find yourself surprised with a large cellular data usage. This feature is still in beta, but is designed to automatically update all of your iOS devices, no matter where you purchase content. Me...I like controlling what gets installed on my devices & what doesn't.
