iPod touch 4th generation screen is white

This morning I turned on my iPod touch 4th generation and the screen what white with lines similar to a dysfunction TV screen and then it went completely white. It wouldn't boot down so I tried to reset it and it went off. I also tried restoring it and it does show up in iTunes, but the screen is still white. Anyone have an answer?

My ipod touch 4th gen has many horizontal white lines but I can still sort of see what is on the screen. I see there is a lot of questions about a white screen on the ipod touch but there is no solution. What kind of support is this? Why are there no answers from Apple, just a lot of suggestion from other users that don't work???? Am I on the wrong webpage???? I am kind of new to the ipod but where is the help we deserve???
