My iPhone 4 will not accept my sim card, I tried to put it in my wifes iPhone 4 and it worked. Has anybody had the same problem? Please let me know how to get around this.

Is this an iPhone 4? It is a AT&T SIM?
Many people complain about this. It may just be a bad card.
If it's a bad card why does it work in the OP's wife's phone?

There are far too many possibilities for anyone to guess the real problem. Where are you located? Where did you get the phone? Is it carrer locked? If it is, are you using a SIM for that carrier? Is your wife's phone carrier locked? If so is it to the same carrier as your phone? Have you activated your phone with iTunes? (It won't work with any carrier until it has been activated).
It might help a little bit if you would define "will not accept my sim card". Do you get an error message? Does it think there is no sim? unsupported sim? What, EXACTLY is it doing or not doing?
