FileVault and Dropbox

I am trying to determine if I use Lion with FileVault on my laptop, but Snow Leopard without FileVault on my desktop can I use DropBox to synch files such as the agile keychain for 1Password.

I would appreciate any insight about that.

Filevault is disk level encryption. Above the driver level, the applications have no way of seeing a difference.

I have used DropBox with Filevault without trouble.

To be completely clear are you synchronizing between a computer with FileVault on and another with it off and having the applications able to read the file on both computers. My concern is that the file saved on dropbox is encrypted and that the computer without FileVault turned on couldn't read the encrypted file.
