I am trying to upgrade my macbook to snow leopard. I have a 2 year old macbook. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. With 2GB 1067 MHz DDR3 and version 10.5.8. I have bought the Snow Leopard CD installer and loaded it up. When i click install Mac OSX a message comes up saying "Mac OS X Snow Leopard cannot be installed on this computer". Does anyone know why? Help please. |

Did you buy the commercial black-faced OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or did you buy a used gray-faced version? If the latter, it can only be installed on the system it shipped with, ie, if it delivered with an iMac, it can only be installed on an iMac.
you bought a System-Locked DVD and not the full version for every Intel Mac. Lookup the Apple Store to buy the correct one. Your Hardware can not be faulty, it could even run Lion based on the specs.
