IWeb 3.0.4 - Including Audio with Autoplay - Caching issue

Hi,

I am new to IWeb and recently created a site using the latest version: 3.0.4 (601). I have included audio files in the site with the Autoplay option enabled (using the Site Inspector tool; check Autoplay). The first time I load the published site using Firefox 6, the audio indeed autoplays (great!!), however if I refresh the page or even reload it, the audio does not play. Even if I quit firefox and reopen, then reload the page, no audio...??? Only if I clear the cache in Firefox and quit Firefox, then reopen and reload page does the audio autoplay again.

I would prefer that every time the page is loaded (or refreshed) that the audio plays, is there something I can do in IWeb (or I suppose in the JS that it creates) to enable this type of behavior.

In Safari (5.1), when I load this same page, the audio NEVER plays. No matter if I clear cache, reload, nothing...????

Any and all suggestions and help is much appreciated!!

Thanks!
Mike

Getting audio (or video) to play using the iWeb method is not very useful if you want everybody to actually hear your tracks!

The audio file has to load with the web page which causes slow download and a lot of visitors won't be able to hear it because they don't have the QuickTime plugin.

Nowadays we need to use a player that will work in both flash and html5 so that it will function in all browsers and portable devices such and the iPhone/iPad. Some examples...

If you want more than one audio file per page its better to use a playlist player...
