Q: Updating iTunes and Quicktime fails

I just got a prompt telling, that there's updates to iTunes and Quicktime. They download well, but when I'm going to install them the installation fails. I'm using Windows 7 x64.

Let's try installing using an installer from the Apple Website:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Does that go through any better?
