How much does it cost to get my iPod Touch 3g's batteries replaced at the Apple Store?

I think my iPod Touch's batteries are dead. No matter what I do it doesnt turn on. I plugged it back to my computer and iTunes can't even detect it. So the most logical explanation is MY IPOD IS DEAD! I have had it for almost 2 years now and I didn't buy the expanded warrenty... 😢

Please tell me how much it cost.. and don't say, "Get the iPod Touch 4!" I'm perfectly fine with the 3rd gen..

$99.00. Take it to your local Apple retailer. Basically, they return it, and it will be replaced with a similar but refurbished unit with a good battery.

Battery replacement, if that's all that's wrong with your iPod, isn't quite as expensive as Kappy and VZ estimated. For correct pricing in your country, see:

If you ship the iPod to Apple rather than taking it to an Apple Store, you may also have to pay a shipping charge.
