flash/java draining my battery

Whenever I try to edit my website on tripod, I've noticed that chrome is running as high as 109% CPU. it uses a few youtube videos that are embedded on one of my pages that causes the battery to drain 50% quicker. how do I resolve this issue? it also seems to be happening with Java apps on websites. thanks
