Test Video on Powerbook G4 That Had Dead Logicboard?

What exactly do you mean by "test video"? Do you mean check if the display is OK, or do you mean see if the video card is working? What happens when you power up the computer?

If the logic board is dead then you won't get any joy from either the built-in display or an external monitor. Similarly since the video card on PowerBooks is an integral part of the logic board you are going to need a new board in either case. Hardly worth fixing unless you can pick up a spare logic board cheaply.

As noted, the graphics processor is hard onto the logic board. The specific connectors between the board and the display (one for backlight power, one for video) pretty much make testing the display itself dependent on a working logic board, given that otherwise a special test fixture would be required (such as one would find in the factory).
