When I try to connect to Time Machine I get an error message: An unexpected error occurred (error code -6584).
Any way to access my backuped files?

fyi;
i had the same problem, and was able to access my files by:
1. Attach an empty USB disk to the Time Machine
2. Open Airport Utility on my Macbook
3. Go to Time Capsule -> Right Click -> Manual Setup -> Disks -> Select your Time Capsule Disk and click "archive".
4. Now select the empty USB disk you attached to the time capsule and start the archive. The light on the Time Capsule will turn orange and start blinking.
5. Wait several hours untill the light on the Time Capsule turns GREEN again
6. Detach the USB drive from the Time Capsule
7. Attach the USB drive to your macbook
8. Go to Finder, open the USB drive and double-click the file which name ends with ".sparsebundle"
9. Now, open the device "Time Machine Backups" in Finder and you should see all your backups

David.
ls,
I almost had the same problem. With the Timemachine I could see all my Snow Leopard backups but the Time machine couldn't connect to my Time Capsule.
In my case, with the installation of Lion, all my keychain entries were duplicated. The old entries were created while using my macbook, the new ones were created while updating to Lion. Removing the old ones did the trick. Time Machine was able to connect to my Time Capsule again.
Cheers, David
I had the same -6584 error upon clicking "Enter Time Machine", and I was able to resolve it by option-clicking the Time Machine icon and then selecting "Verify Backups". It took some time over wifi for the 2tb of files, but once it completed, I was again able to enter Star Wars mode.
Cheers
Hi H2|David,
How do you know which keys are old and which are new? Your method seems to be the fastest way. A screen grab to explain would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, Funsky.
I had same error message. Tried the "Verify Backups" solution offered by notetoself.net - fixed my problem.
