Apple TV and Denon Receiver

You just need to select whatever source is mapped to the HDMI input you have plugged the AppleTV into. On the Denon you can select which HDMI input number (e.g. 1 to 6) is connected for whatever source you select.

Have a look at the AVR's manual and it describes how to do this. On mine I've also changed the name of the input to Apple.

If you're struggling (the manual's not very clear IMHO!) post again on here and I'll put up some step-by-step instructions on how to make it work.

I am in the same boat, I hooked the apple tv into an hdmi input, but not sure how to select it to be the output source.

Anyone have any luck finding an answer to this?

Hi, I am having the same issue and the manual is just unbelievably cryptic . Can someone help by describing the steps. It seemed like the setup wizard on my 2312CI worked for my other devices, but not AppleTV, whihc I have plugged into the DVD (HDMI input 2)

bring up the onscreen menu.

Scroll through to the source select, select DVD.

Then select input assign.

For DVD make sure HDMI is set to HDMI 2

Perfect, I was under the impression that the default was HDMI. That was not the case

Followed all the above and no luck. Any other explicit instructions you can share. Losing me mind- ahhhh.
