Just before I switched over to Lion, every time I put a file in the trash the system requested my admin password. As soon as I entered the password and hit enter, the file was deleted. I can't put multiple items in the trash, the system asks for my password for each item. How do I get it to go back to the old way of trashing files?
Open Finder preferences, click on the Advanced icon in the toolbar. Uncheck the appropriate box that prompts the notification.
The boxes are unchecked in Finder preferences for warning before trashing and secure trashing. I am not getting a warning; I am getting a rquest for my admin password.
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on resolving Trash problems. A solution should be there.
I have the same problem as well and can't find anything the pertains to a password problem on that link you provided.
Open the Terminal in your Utilities folder. Paste the following command at the prompt:
sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash
Press RETURN. Enter your admin password when prompted. It will not be echoed.
Either log out and back into your account or restart the computer.
I Found a Solution,
Open your Home folder,
then get info,
in the bottom click on the lock bottun and enter your password, click on + and select your name,
then in the privilege select read/write,
then click on the perefrence icon beside +, apply all enclosed folder.....
it's work for me. all privilage in mine.

That's the folder with the house icon on it - /Users/yourusername/ folder.

The home folder carries a hidden "everyone deny delete" ACL (a special type of permission) which doesn't show up in Get Info, but which can get propagated to all your enclosed files and folders when you use "Apply to enclosed items". This can cause a number of permissions issues.
