Trying to convert a zipped file to import in to itunes

BIL sent me a song via email. Says it's a "rar"

Have it on desktop trying to import in to itunes so I can listen to it..

the desk top icon calls it a "neutral.gif"

The .rar file type is a compression format. You need to de-compress it in order to see the file your friend wants you to listen to.


Go to the Mac App Store and download Stuffit Expander - it's free.


Drag the .rar file on top of the Stuffit Expander icon in your Dock or in the Finder.


Drag the resulting .mp3 or other file expanded from the .rar on top of your iTunes icon in your Dock or in the Finder.
