iTap VNC failed to connect to mac and i get an error that says failed to establish TCP connection. What do i do?

And yes, I have the same problem. I am using iTap on a wirelessly connected MacbookPro, and trying to connect to my wired iMac, on the same LAN. Using port 3389 and its failing with "failed to establish TCP connection". Firewalls are disabled on both machines. Same failure also happens with CoRD RDP too.
