Rounded corners for the desktop?

When you open a full screen app, I love how the corners are rounded. I was wondering if this could be done on my desktop... and by this I mean the bottom two corners of the wallpaper, and the top two corners of the toolbar.

That app you suggested is kind of what I want, but it doesn't work when you switch between applications. It doesn't show up in the dashboard, and it doesnt move with the content when you swipe between desktops or full screen apps. I want it to look like the window on the right. Your solution just floats on the desktop. Thanks, any other suggestions?

I don't find that the new iOS-inspired changes are intrusive. Of course, I have a Magic Mouse, and the gestures are nice, but even without that I still like the Launchpad app. For years I've had to keep a copy of the Applications folder in my Dock to open apps with (or use an app launcher like Alfred). Now I just move my mouse to the lower right-hand corner and Launchpad appears. I can flip between pages to find the app I want and launch with one click.

I know some are opposed to iOS-style things being integrated on the Mac side, but as long as you can turn them off, I don't see a problem.

Just my 2 cents.

The problems are the things you can't turn off easily, such as autosave, versioning, resuming, and autotermination. As for app launching, I have over 50 icons on my Dock and a simple, single click launches any of those. If there's something not there, my apps or utlities folder, in list view, suffices to find and launch it. It's the only app launcher I've ever used.😉
