is there any way of syncing photos from one mac and everything else from another?

I can't believe that a similar question hasn't already been asked but I haven't been able to find anything so far.

Apologies if it has.

Just bought my wife a MacBook Air and transferred all our photos on to it from my Macbook to free up some space. Is there any way of syncing photos only from the MacBook Air and everything else from my MacBook?

iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.5(8L1)

Can you explain better what you are trying to do? Are you talking about syncing from a device?

No. Photos are considered iTunes content, and an iphone will sync iTunes content with one computer at a time.

Many thanks for the prompt replies. It looks like I will have to transfer back any photos that I want to keep on my phone. I think I will give Apple some feedback on this.
