Hi everyone, I have one simple question - if I buy the newest model mac mini, can I plug my 30inch aluminium cinema display straight into the Thunderbolt port and experience full resolution display on the monitor? Many thanks, Andy

The Thunderbolt port supports the full resolution of the monitor. The HDMI does not. You can plug in a mini DisplayPort into the Thunderbolt port.
You will need to use the MDP to dual-link DVI adapter. It has proven flakey though. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB571Z/A
Thanks azdawg99 - I had read in several places that this was the case, but just wanted to check for definite. I'm in Hong Kong at the moment and until the first official Apple store opens here in a few weeks' time, it's actually quite difficult to get a definitive answer to a question or problem - many of the authorised resellers here are not very good!

Thanks "Saul in PA" - I do have that MDP>dual-link DVI Adapter already as I currently connect my Macbook Pro to the 30inch display with it. Looking forward to getting the Mac Mini up and running in a few days though - hopefully my first proper experience of using Lion will be a happy one!
