Viewing photos taken during video on Canon 7D

I tried a search, but I guess my search criteria wasn't properly phrased..

So I took a bunch of videos at a fashion show today with my Canon 7D. During these videos, I would take photos/snapshots in the middle of the video.. When importing the videos and pictures into iPhoto 11 on Lion (iMac 27"), the videos display fine, but the photos taken during videoing do not (thumbnails show, but full image does not). Pictures taken while not shooting video show up fine.

When I load these same photos/videos onto iPhoto 9 on Snow Leopard (iMac 24"), both the video and photos taken during video display fine (as expected). Am I missing something, or is this a defect of iPhoto 11 or Lion?
