How does touchOSC work with Logic pro 9

Hi guys

They tell that its madness to invest in controller in these days, since we have an app for ipod, iphone & ipad called "touchOSC"

I have seen some videos of the same controlling the Mixer part of the logic, that fine but....

can it also play the Drum, synths, sequencers & other instruments

lets discuss....

Hi

Later versions of Logic support TouchOSC for 'general' mixer control and the like, and the latest versions of TouchOSC support CoreMIDI directly, so that it can transmit all sorts of MIDI messages without the need of the OSC intermediary application.

A free editor program (http://www.hexler.net/software/touchosc) allows you to create and edit your own TouchOSC layouts, and the MIDI messages involved. It can easily send MIDI Note and CC messages, so you can control pretty much what you want.

TouchOSC is the work of angels.

For years I thought I would never be without my trusty Frontier Tranzport, and was very concerned when they discontinued it (even though it continues to work perfectly well). It remains one of the best studio purchases I ever made - cheap, effective and 100% reliable.

Last week, I finally put it into the closet of unused gear at the back of the studio and admitted that TouchOSC is a worthy successor. It's brilliant.
