I wipe the screen with a damp microfiber cloth. I'll also use a spritz or two of a mild glass cleaner, but it is not strictly recommended by Apple. It works great though.
Either a launderable lint free, micro fiber cloth or lint free, micro fiber disposible cloths. They usually sell them at camera and eyeglass shops for for cleaning eyeglasses and camera lenses.
Never use glass cleaner, it will eat away the oil resistant coating on your iPad's screen. Some shops sell a spray specifically for iOS devices that protects this coating. Try an Apple Store if there is one nearby.
Even mild glass cleaner, while it may work fine, can hurt the Oleophobic coating on your iPad screen. I would NOT recommend using any glass cleaner. You can go to Best Buy and purchase a solution from Monster, called iClean. It was formulated for Olephonc coated screens and it includes a Microfiber cloth, plus an anti-staic cloth. For me, it was well worth the expense (less than $20).
I use a stylus pen to minimize smudges. Use a lens cleaning cloth occassionly to clean the glass.
Don't waste your money on iPad screen cleaners. The only people benefiting from the use of cleaners are the people selling them. As mentioned previously, do not use any type of glass cleaner. Most of the time, I can clean the screen by wiping it very gently with a dry microfiber cloth. That alone will remove finger prints. If dried stuff is on the screen I wipe it with a damp (water only) microfiber cloth followed by a light buff with a dry microfiber cloth. In almost a year, I've yet to have anything on my screen that a plain damp cloth wouldn't remove. I frequently use my iPad in the kitchen for reading recipes, so I've had some dried up stuff on it.
I use mister cleaner for all my screens. I pads, I Mac, and my Hd TV. it is the best IMO.
