How to get rid of old email address

Using Mail on iPad, if I try to address an email to myself, it pops up with two pre-fill options....one of them being my old and no longer useable email address. I tried finding the back up files for my iPad to see if I could locate the invalid email address and delete it. The old address is NOT in my address book nor is it still in settings for email accounts. Any suggestions to help with this annoyance will be greatly appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge you can't delete/remove them without restoring the iPad back to factory settings (which is somewhat extreme) - I havn't yet found a way and I've seen a few other posts asking the same thing. You can try leaving feedback and maybe we'll get a edit function one day : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

Thank you very much. I suspected as much. I do get a bit obsessive about some things, but certainly won't be doing a restore for such a trivial reason.

http://www.macyourself.com/2008/08/30/remove-old-email-addresses-from-mails-auto -complete-database/ tells you how to do this. It was also giving me fits. I removed everything from my Mac Book and the cloud took care of my ipad.
