Email in photos not working in iPad 2

People might be able to help if you give more info about the problem is - how are you trying to send emails, are you getting any error messages ... ?

When I email photos I go into thumbnail view in Photos, I tap the icon top right of the box with the arrow coming out of it, select up to 5 photos (as that's the max), and then tap the Email button top left, which then allows me to compose the text in the email.

Where did the photos that you are trying to send come from ? Were they taken with the iPad, synced from your computer, copied via the camera connection kit, saved from emails/websites ? It's possible that the emails that you are selecting are too large to be attached to one email.

Have you tried closing the Photos and Mail apps completely ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the Photos or Mail apps 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Photos and Mail apps to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
