Does anyone know about problems with Dutch power plug not fitting Belgium sockets?

I have bought my Mac Air in a Dutch online Apple Store to get a querty key board (i.s.o. azerty)

The power plug that came with it does not fit in my Belgium socket. The earth pin is to fat.

Is this a known problem or do I have an incompatible socket (ticino)?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.1), Adapter

You'll need to buy an adaptor, each country has it's own connector specifications

In the Netherlands the CEE-7/4-Schuko-System is used for sockets

In Belgium the CEE 7/7 compatible "french" system is used for sockets

For that you only need to change the small removable plug on the magsafe.

As you can see, the plug is removabe from the magsave to plug in a different one or a extention cable.

So just went to the nearest belgian Apple Store or Apple Retail shop like SWITCH and by a new plug for your magsafe.

Hope that helps.

Edit: If your lokation is near the german border, go to Gravis in Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle) They should have the parts.

The right one is a multipurpose plug for western Europe covering Skandinavia, Germany, Netherlands, France and so on.

It's called a "CEE 7/7 hybrid Schuko/French" plug and will be the standart that Apple delivers e.g. in Germany.

With the MagSafe, Apple deliver in Germany a "Euro Plug" (only two contacts flat) directly attached to the MagSafe and a extension cord with a CEE 7/7 hybrid Schuko/French plug on one end.

You shoud return the one you have and ask for a standart Euro one.
