Do not forget computer recyclers. Schools have long since thrown out their stuff from that era but individuals are always cleaning out closets. A local recycler has two Apple IIe computers kicking around. Literally on the floor to be kicked out of the way. Other computers are on display but not these.
Sad story. The school that our children attended had an Apple IIGS as a server in the IIe computer lab. IIGS computers sell for $5 in the U.S. so they threw their school IIGS into the dumpster. Because some are clueless at that school, they were oblivious to the fact that the $5 machine had a $125 SCSI card in it. Those cards are highly sought after. All in the name of cleaning out closets.
