Forwarding meeting invites from iPhone

Open the calendar app > tap/open the meeting > click the "invitees" section > click "add invitees" > type in the email > click "done" and yes to send msg to new invitee

This works with iOS 10.1.1

I can do it from my Exchange-based calendar on my iPhone. Try tapping the meeting, then when the Event Details appear tap Edit. Scroll down to Invitees, tap, then enter the Invitee info. Click Done and the Invitee should receive the invitation.

Not surprised the apple iPhone is missing yet another key peice if functionality. And not surprised nothing has been done to fix it in a year and a half. Thanks again for letting us down apple and not listening to what your customers need

This only works when you are the originator of the meeting. Unfortunately it does not work when the invitation came from someone else. :-(

Apple's behaviour around this issue has been completely ********... Instead of addressing the issue head on, indicating its a missing feature, and building it into a future IOS - No, they pretend it isn't an issue and 'the iPhone is meant to work this way' and 'log into exchange using webmail to forward it' according to their call centre.

Even the most basic Blackberry can do this feature out of the box!

Anyway, after literally searching every possible forum and finding nothing.... my solution was to try Doug's product above. For the record, i hate having to use a third party app for such a basic feature - however, the app works great and is only like $2. I can love using my phone again even though I still think Apple is ********. I may also switch to Android if this continues...

I've been an die hard Apple user since 2007. I find myself thinking about "other" (insert Samsung) alternatives more and more. This missing option to forward invites is a constant headache for me.

The word above in my post, that apple is trying to block is: re ta rd ed

What i normally do as a workaround is to look for the email, usually in the deleted items folder (or in this case the "trash" folder in the Email app, if you have accepted the invite already), and forward it to the invitee not in the original loop.

It would be more convenient though if the functionality is already embedded in the Calendar app.

An app has been developed that allows meetings to be forwarded from iOS devices. I cannot promote the specific name here, but if you search for it you will find it.

I really do wish this issue gets fixed in the next release of iOS.

Take a screenshot and forward by whatsapp and definitely using an app will be a more professional way they are not expensive compared to the benefits :-)
