How to set up a Apple Cinema Display monitor to my iMac.

I have a 24" Intel iMac and need to set up my old Apple Cinema Display monitor to it.

1) Do I need a DVI adapter?

2) Do I need a power source adapter?

3) Any other suggestions welcome!

All of the videos I've seen online are for "other brand" monitors, not an Apple Cinema Display monitor. Also, instructions for a laptop, not an iMac.

thanks!

Thanks!

I am not using Thunderbolt.

The 20" Apple Cinema Display monitor has one cable coming out the back of it, then it splits into three cables at the end (DVI, FireWire, USB). (DVI-D cable is single link)

The iMac has a Mini-DVI video output port.

I want to use this adaptor to hook the two up and would like to know if it is the correct one?

And, does it need a separate power adaptor?
