Import playlists into iTunes 10.4.1.10

Hi everyone,

I have been using iTunes and MusicIP Mixer together for years, with MusicIP Mixer generating my playlists. I like to do this because I have a large music collection & can generat a playlist of about 100 songs to listen to each day. However, the lastest update to iTunes no longer seems to support this. If I just try to send the playlist to iTunes, I get an error message, attempts to import the .m3u file creates a blank playlist and nothing at all seems to happen when trying to import the ..xspf file. I am using Widows 7. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

You've responded to a five year old thread, which concerns a bug with that specific build of iTunes that was subsequently patched. I wrote a script at the time called ImportM3U which lets you import a larger range of valid M3U files than iTunes can cope with, but the tracks still need to be where they are referenced in the playlist if they are to be imported. I'm not familiar with .xspf, but if it contains a plain text list of file references then my script could probably be adapted to read those too.
