Flash Player (?) Hangs System

Since installing Lion 10.7 and now its update 10.7.1 I have had numerous system crashes where the cursor turns into a spining ball, all appps freeze, and then my monitors go black. My only recourse is to do a hard reboot. This "seems" to follow using safari and pages where video is used. I uninstalled the flash player and then installled the current version. The Adobe web site says I have version 10,3,183,7 but when I go to System information it says I have three versions at version level 9.0.115.0 (from whne I installed CS3). I do not see a falsh player listing in the installed plugins page for safari.

The system hangs if I bring up a safari page with embedded video. Cursor goes to spinning ball, apps hang and system will either restart on its own or I provide a hard reboot.

In one instance I viewed several pages of embedded video back-to-back and then on about the 5th video the embeded field in the browser page was blank and I could not play that or any video. I restarted the system and the video capability returned.

I also have many console messages like the following:

Aug 30 13:54:32: --- last message repeated 5 times --- Aug 30 13:54:32 mike-brices-computer [0x0-0x8008].com.apple.Safari[155]: CoreAnimation: rendering error 506 Aug 30 13:55:05: --- last message repeated 7 times --- Aug 30 13:55:05 mike-brices-computer [0x0-0x8008].com.apple.Safari[155]: CoreAnimation: rendering error 506 Aug 30 13:55:05: --- last message repeated 3 times --- Aug 30 13:55:05 mike-brices-computer sandboxd[375] ([183]): WebProcess(183) deny file-read-data /Users/mike/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/com.adobe.amp.4875E02D9FB21EE389F73B8D1702B320485DF8CE.1/ PrivateEncryptedDatak

I have attached a crash log from a system hang for your reveiw.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

I had a similar problem on win7. Let see if adobe is screwed up big this time 😝

Solution for stucking video playback on win7 (youtube) etc. was: DISABLE HARDWARE acceleration. To do: click on flash movie->option->disable hardware acceleration.

I think it can be a problem on mac as well. (thx god my mac has no problem... it's designed well 😀)

Let me know if it fixed the problem.

PS:adobe mentioned if you can get the older version of flash player that could help as well, but i figured it's easier to disable hw acceleration for now.
