Why won't my printer remember my password when I try to print wirelessly anymore?

So I upgraded to Lion about a month ago right when it came out. I have a Brother MFC-7340 printer that I have set up wirelessly on the network. My issue is not that it's not printing, the issue I am having is that EVERY SINGLE TIME I try and print it won't print the document until I manually type in the username and password for the host computer. I never had to do this prior to upgrading to Lion, and even when I check the "store password in my keychain" box it still never remembers it. Can anyone tell me how to store the username and password for the printer so I don't have to do this every time I want to print something. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If the printer is wireless then why would you be printing via a Windows share? You would do this if the printer only had USB and it was connected to Windows and shared, but if it has built in wireless then I would be configuring the Mac print queue to print directly to the Brother, not via the printer share.

As for the password, you could open Keychain Access and select the login keychains entry. This will show the connection to the PC and the last modified date. If this is not the most recent date when you last printed, then you could delete this entry and then print again, selecting to save the password. This should then create a new entry the Keychain.
