No Lion Features in Pages after Lion Upgrade

I own the iWork '09 Family Pack, and have successfully upgraded 2 of my Macs from SL to Lion using a repartition option on each Mac. On these Macs installing Lion, then iWork '09 Family Pack, and then performing Apple Updates gives me the new Lion features like Autosave, Versions, etc.

On a 3rd Mac (Imac Intel 5,1 Core 2 Duo) I installed Snow Leopard as an UPGRADE, and there are No Lion features in Pages or other iWork programs even after performing all system updates.

Any suggestions to make these features appear? I DO notice that on the Imac with this issue the Pages version is 4.1, and on the other 2 Macs it displays as 4.3. Also - I DO have iWork installed on all 3 maachines inthe default location.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Sincerely - Jeff

If I've understood you're message correctly: you've upgraded 2 Macs to Lion and iWork 9.1 and you get the Lion features; but you've not upgraded the 3rd Mac to Lion and do not get the Lion features.

That's exactly what I'd expect. If you want the Lion features on the 3rd Mac then you've gotta update it to Lion too.

The latest version of Pages is 4.1. Pages version 4.3 has not been released.

I'd consider reinstalling Lion on this computer:

Reinstalling Lion Without the Installer

Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alterhatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.

When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.

Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

Jeff - follow the link that Kappy gave you. Before you run the update make sure your iWork apps (Keynote, Pages, and Numbers) are in the folder called iWork '09 (it should be in your app folder). I've been having the same problem and when I ran the update I got an error message saying that I didn't have the right applications in the iWork '09 folder. I just did a drag and drop of each application into the folder and it worked. (thanks Kappy for the link!)
