Navigation bar disappears in Chrome

When I use one of the templates and publish to a local folder, then upload to my host provider I can see the page on the internet all well and good-- except for the top menu bar (navigation bar) has disappeared. In Safari the nav bar exists, but not in Chrome. When I asked Apple employees I was told to just create hyperlinks elsewhere and link the pages that way... only I like the roll over animation that the templates offer.

Is there any way around this or is this Chrome's problem to fix?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

Hi-- It is when I upload it to my file server (ie. the website live on the net). Not when I do the "view site" way via iWeb

The default navigation uses javascript which can be a problem if this is turned off in the visitor's browser.

Check to make sure that javascript is enabled in the version of Chrome your are using.

Chrome Preferences/Under The Hood/Content Settings/Javascript

Bonjour

You can't see the menubar of your website published in a local folder with Chrome using an URL beginning by file:///users/etc. , it's an old bug, but are you sure that you don't see the menubar of the website uploaded to your host provider? Chrome has usualy no issue to display the menubar in this case, using an URL beginning by http.

I do have javascript clicked to accept already by default. It still doesn't work though.
