i have a few applications that are missing from my ipad2. they are on my itunes desktop but not on ipad. i have tried to delete them and reinstall but they just keep saying installed. off of the applications is netflix. please help!

Have you checked all your homescreens for them, and/or are they hidden via an age rating that you've set on Settings > General > Restrictions > Apps ?
