Oct 25, 2011 6:58 AM in response to robertfromalmereby thomasfromwilliamsville,Again, anyone who has tried this solution Jeremy posted .... have you rebooted, restarted, tried syncing, tried updating apps, downloading apps, etc...
Instead of just saying "this worked, thanks". tell us what you did. After a few days come back and repost an update. Especially after you've rebooted your PC, launched itunes store, synced, updated, downloaded, etc ...
Are other programs working perfectly besides itunes store? Details details people

Oct 25, 2011 10:08 AM in response to thomasfromwilliamsvilleby inmediasres,Very well then. Most people don't care to keep coming back to a problem forum to discuss the after-effects of the solution, but since you insist and I haven't been smart enough to unsubscribe to this thread...
It's been several days, I have rebooted, it still works. I have synced my iPod. I have redeemed Starbucks free song codes. That is all I honestly do on the store, besides occasionally grab the free song of the week. I do not purchase anything so I cannot tell you about purchases, downloading/managing apps, etc. I only use this on my home computer so none of that is relevant to me.
So for now, yes, it works. But somehow, I don't imagine it will do so the next time I have to update iTunes, given that this has happened every time I update for the last few releases. The solution I got last time worked until I was asked to update iTunes again. Then that solution no longer worked, as stated above. I can't really be confident that this new solution will work a second time based on that history, but I guess we'll see?

Sorry for the delay my man. Yes, I rebooted and everything works fine. I haven't tried syncing since I rebooted nor have I purchased anything, but everything still seems to be working. I'll let you know when I sync again. Thanks

Oct 26, 2011 12:18 PM in response to jdavitt320by Torch82,I've tried all the command prompt solutions. I've tried to uninstall iTunes in every order possible. I've tried contacting Apple Support....and still the progress bar gets about half way when I try to use the iTunes Store. Nothing is working. Months ago, yes this worked when I updated, but now, since I updated to 10.5, absolutely nothing will work. I'm running Windows 7 on a 4 month old Alienware Aurora-R3 and I've allowed iTunes through my firewall, and even tried disabling my firewall altogether.

Nov 13, 2011 3:37 PM in response to topsuesby thomasfromwilliamsville,Well, after extreme patience, i finally did the netsh winsock reset fix. To recap, my problem was ... itunes store would not load. My 3GS would not update to IO5. After the did that fix (being very careful not to screw it up or assume anything) it worked. I did keep rebooting my PC (vista) to make sure things were being properly started and re-started. After i was able to access itunes store, i again, re-booted the PC. I connected my 3GS and was able to start the process of updating to IO5. It took a while. itunes said my backup could not be accessed and it was resetting my iphone and all info was erased. Once the iphone was finally done updating, i didn't click on anything, i didn't look at my contacts or music etc ... I ejected my iphone, unplugged it, and immediately shut it OFF, waited for about a minute, restarted the iphone. I then checked the iphone, and i lost NOTHING. every single thing was there. My notes, music, contacts, calender events, apps ... everything was still there. Needless to say i was relieved! Since the fix and update (5 days ago), i have synced it 3 times, have turned off my PC about 3 times, tuned off and on my iphone about 5 times. Updated apps 2 times. Everything is fine.
EXCEPT .... Every so often, usually about once a day, sometimes twice a day. I lose AT&T connection and my calender events for the next 2-3 days flash on my iphone one right after the other. I hit "close" and the next event flashes up on the screen. I do this for all the events that come up. After all the events are closed, AT&T network is connected again like nothing is wrong. So i think i will search the forums here and see if i am alone on this or if there is a simple solution. Might be ANOTHER Apple bug i need to investigate. Thanks to those who have helped and updated.

This worked!

Once you identify the LSP, google the offending software and you should identify the programme doing the blocking.
My culprit was my Vodafone Mobile connect.
Deleted this, restarted, itunes stores opens, reloaded latest Vodafone software, everything works.
Good luck!
