Can anyone tell me how to uninstall Octoshape plug in. The plugin does delete but reappears when you reboot. It does say to go to your home folder/library/internet Plug ins and delete. What is "home folder"? Can anyone help?
Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
Home directory means /Users/your_username or the shorthand ~
For instance, if your mac username is jacksparrow, so the full path will be:
/Users/jacksparrow/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
or
~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
You can go directly to the directory by following these steps:
1. open Finder app
2. press Command+Shift+G
3. copy the path mentioned above(e.g. ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins) and paste it in, then press enter.
Then you should be able to see OctoshapeWeb.plugin, delete it.

Thanks for the guide to the home folder but the plug in still returns every time I reboot. I am thinking it is part ot the VCL player so if I delete it and all the prefence files etc will it disappear? I have a program called "App Cleaner which clears it out.

Hi, I'm having the same problem.
Already deleted the plug-in folder but it comes back when i reboot.
Tryed the uninstaller and Upon opening: "The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error 100030.)"
I'm using OS X 10.8.2
Is there a Terminal command to block the plug-in? I'm worried because i never downloaded it and the day it apeared on my computer was the same day my credit card got frauded on-line... could it be a malware?

The downloadable uninstaller isn't working. But, there's an uninstaller in your hidden library folder that will work.
Go to Finder, click on 'Go', then 'Go to Folder'; type in '~/Library/Octoshape'. That will show you the hidden Octoshape folder. Click on the Uninstaller located in that folder and it will do the job.
For those of you having an "OSStatus error 100030", it apparently relates to a read-only file system. Check if either your '~/Library/Octoshape' or the folder where your uninstaller is, is eventually set to read-only.
