setting new computer as main computer with homesharing

Hi I have homesharing set up, and it works great if I have both my old and new computer turned on and logged on. But if I try to quit itunes on my old computer, it says all homesharing accounts will be disconnected if I quit. How do I make my new computer the main one, so I don't have to run my old laptop to access my music? Also, anyway to share all of the playlists I've already made on my old computer?

you can transfer any media files using home sharing between your homeshared libraries, including playlists. however, home sharing does not copy playcounts, ratings, and original "date added". if those details are important, copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the iTunes music or media folder) from the old to the new computer replacing the one there.
